Great to meet you!

I bring a pretty unique toolkit to our sessions. With graduate degrees in both psychiatric nursing and counseling, I am fully equipped to handle both sides of the mental health coin: medication management and therapeutic support. I have extensive experience working with children from all walks of life, including those navigating the foster care system. Yes, I work with grown-ups too! Whether you need a fresh set of eyes on your current medication regimen, want to explore medical options for anxiety or depression, or just need a supportive space to process adulthood, I’ve got your back.

My approach to therapy

I believe mental health care should be collaborative, easy to understand, and completely judgment-free. My biggest priority is ensuring that you feel truly heard and listened to. You (and your child) are the experts on your own lives, which means you will always be an active, equal participant in your care. We will talk through your options together and make decisions as a team. We’ll tackle the big stuff together, and yes, laughing during sessions is highly encouraged.

What you can expect from me

My number one goal for our first hour together is to make sure you (and your child) feel safe, comfortable, and completely at ease while being vulnerable. To get us started on the right foot, our first session will involve a very thorough history. Yes, it means I’m going to ask a lot of questions!

Digging deep helps me get the full picture of everything impacting your mental health and behaviors. By understanding your whole story, we can work together to:

  • Form accurate diagnoses.
  • Pinpoint your specific goals for treatment.
  • Map out the absolute best, most collaborative approach to actually accomplishing those goals.

Bring your questions, bring your honest stories, and we will take it one step at a time!
