Great to meet you!

I have over ten years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. I utilize evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), and Solution Focused Therapy to address concerns such as depression, anxiety, mood instability, anger, social skills, self-esteem, stress management, school refusal, family conflict, and trauma.

I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in the state of Virginia. I received my master’s degree in Marriage & Family Therapy from Virginia Tech in 2014. Prior to that, I received my Undergraduate Degree in Psychology from Virginia Tech in 2009. I offer individual, family and couples therapy via telehealth.

I have a passion for working with adolescents and families that are in distress and supporting them in improving their family dynamics and functioning. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process between an individual and their therapist and look forward to supporting individuals in identifying and making the changes they desire in their life.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is centered on creating a safe, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space. I want individuals to feel comfortable taking the often difficult first step in seeking support. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process, and I work alongside each person to ensure we are focusing on the goals and concerns that matter most to them. Because every individual has unique experiences, strengths, and challenges, I tailor my approach to meet each person's specific needs. Together, we develop a path forward that promotes growth, healing, and meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

Our first session will be an opportunity for you to share your story and current concerns with me. We will work together to develop your goals for therapy.
