Great to meet you!
I am Ashley N Wofford, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a passion for helping students navigate the complexities of life transitions and anxiety. Since becoming licensed in 2017, I have been dedicated to providing evidence-based treatments to empower individuals on their journey to mental well-being.
My journey as a mental health provider has led me to specialize in supporting individuals who have experienced trauma, including complex trauma. I have received advanced training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a highly effective therapy technique for processing and healing traumatic experiences. This specialized skill allows me to guide clients through the healing process, helping them regain control over their lives. Other therapy styles include are not limited to Coaching, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Culturally Sensitive, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Mindfulness-Based (MBCT), Motivational Interviewing, Person-Centered, Short-Term Psychodynamic Therapy with Mentalization-Based Therapy (STMBP), and Solution-Focused Therapy.
In my practice, I believe that every therapeutic relationship is unique. I'm not here to offer a one-size-fits-all solution; instead, I challenge my clients to imagine new ways of being and approaching their challenges. My approach is rooted in an unconditional belief in your capacity to persevere and overcome adversity.
I firmly believe that you are the subject matter expert of your own life, and I see my role as a guide to help you navigate the path towards a more fulfilling and balanced life. My goal is to provide a safe and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Together, we will collaborate to identify solutions and develop strategies to overcome obstacles.
