Great to meet you!

Navigating the intersection of mental health and addiction can feel incredibly isolating, but I believe that healing is always possible when you have the right person in your corner. For the past 10 years, I have worked with individuals facing these exact struggles, providing a space where you can show up exactly as you are. I am known for being down to earth and warm, and I find that my clients truly appreciate the sense of humor and realness I bring to our sessions. I feel privileged to help my clients achieve their goals and improve their lives by valuing the deep work of trauma healing as much as the simple, human connection we build together.

I believe that the best therapy happens when you see the real me in every session. My approach is rooted in authenticity and the belief that you deserve a therapist who is as human as you are. Outside of the office, I find my own balance by spending time with my family and enjoying the restorative power of a good laugh and the great outdoors. I want my clients to feel safe and empowered during their time with me, knowing that our connection is grounded in mutual respect and genuine conversation.

My approach to therapy

My approach is humanistic and entirely catered to whatever you are presenting to me in the moment. At my core, I am person centered, but I integrate powerful tools like EMDR and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to address trauma, along with CBT and Motivational Interviewing to help navigate change. My style is one of warmth and validation, but I also value the importance of challenging you safely when the timing is right. I hope that my clients will be able to positively grow while working together by discovering new ways to process their past and shape their future.

We will focus on practical, outcome-focused strategies that help you manage the complexities of daily life while doing the deeper work of healing. I believe in a transformative process that honors your individual experiences while providing the structure needed for real change. Clients should expect to feel heard and supported throughout our time together as we collaboratively navigate the shifts needed for you to thrive.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a relaxed environment where we define goals that feel realistic and safe for you. I see myself as a guide, but you are the one who determines the direction of your therapy. We will spend time identifying and solidifying what you want to achieve, ensuring that our roadmap is one that you feel confident in. This initial meeting is about making sure you feel safe and clear about how we will work together moving forward.

I believe that your pace is yours, and I will always meet you exactly where you are at. There is no pressure to have everything figured out or to move faster than you are ready to. My goal is for you to leave our first hour with a sense of relief and a clear understanding of the next steps. You can expect a session that feels low pressure and grounded, setting the foundation for a trusting therapeutic relationship.
