Great to meet you!

I am a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and a Certified Addictions Registered Nurse-Advanced Practice, with experience in various psychiatric roles since 2001. My diverse clinical background provides me with a unique ability to connect with and treat individuals of all ages from a wide variety of backgrounds. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing Education from Texas Christian University, and completed my Post-Master’s specialization at the University of Cincinnati. In addition to seeing patients in private practice, I have also returned to TCU to teach, serving as the clinical and concepts course coordinator for behavioral health nursing.

My approach to therapy

I bring a humanistic philosophy to my practice, honoring the deep connection between the mind and body. I am deeply committed to providing individualized, personalized, and comprehensive care rather than a one-size-fits-all solution. My treatment strategies focus heavily on actionable mindset and behavioral changes, carefully balancing those efforts by appreciating both the profound benefits and the limitations of psychiatric medications.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, you can expect a welcoming, non-judgmental environment where your unique story is heard and valued. We will spend our time thoroughly exploring your background, current challenges, and your personal goals for wellness. The primary outcome of this initial meeting is to collaboratively build a strong foundation of trust and begin outlining a highly personalized care plan that prioritizes your long-term behavioral health and comprehensive well-being.
