Great to meet you!

I believe therapy is most effective when you feel safe, understood, and genuinely seen by the person sitting across from you. As a trauma survivor myself, I understand how difficult it can be to trust the process and allow yourself to be vulnerable, and I bring that understanding into my work with clients. I’m warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental, while also being honest and willing to gently challenge you when it can support your growth. I work with teens and adults navigating trauma, anxiety, difficult relationships, life transitions, self-worth, and emotional overwhelm. For clients who desire it, I’m also happy to thoughtfully incorporate Christian faith and spirituality into our work.

My approach to therapy

My approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and individualized to you rather than following a one-size-fits-all model. I believe understanding the why behind our thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationship patterns can create meaningful opportunities for change. Our work may incorporate approaches such as CBT, ACT, EMDR, IFS-informed work, and somatic strategies depending on your needs and goals. We’ll focus not only on managing symptoms, but also on developing greater self-awareness, emotional regulation, healthier patterns, and a stronger sense of self. My goal is to help you move from simply surviving to feeling more connected, capable, and intentional in your life.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin understanding what brought you to therapy. We’ll talk about your current concerns, relevant history, strengths, goals, and what you hope will be different through therapy. I’ll also explain how I work and make space for any questions you may have about the process. You don’t need to have everything figured out or know exactly where to start- we can figure that out together. Most importantly, I want you to leave the first session feeling heard, respected, and with a clearer sense of where we can begin.
