Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Asia — a licensed professional counselor based in Texas, offering virtual therapy to adults across the state.

I specialize in working with people who are navigating substance use and co-occurring mental health concerns, including those who are highly sensitive, neurodivergent, or simply tired of strategies that don’t fit. My approach is designed for individuals who may not identify with mainstream treatment models but recognize that their relationship with substances is affecting their quality of life, emotional wellbeing, relationships, or sense of purpose.

In addition to my professional background, I bring personal insight into the realities of substance use, recovery, and harm reduction. I understand firsthand that change is deeply personal and rarely follows a linear path. This perspective allows me to approach clients with compassion, authenticity, and respect for each person's unique process.

My approach to therapy

Together, we work to:

  • Reduce or eliminate problematic substance use
  • Understand the underlying stressors driving use
  • Develop healthier coping strategies
  • Improve emotional balance and self-awareness
  • Rebuild confidence, motivation, and connection
  • Create a life that feels meaningful, sustainable, and fulfilling

What you can expect from me

Counseling is not about judgment, labels, or pressure. It is a space to slow down, reflect honestly, and begin understanding what is truly going on beneath the surface.

You can expect a thoughtful and collaborative conversation focused on:

  • what brings you to therapy
  • your current relationship with substances
  • stressors and emotional patterns
  • work and life demands
  • relationships and support systems
  • personal goals and values
  • previous attempts at change
  • and what you hope life will look like moving forward

Rather than encouraging a one-size-fits-all recovery path, I take the time to understand the bigger picture and develop an approach that fits the individual. Some clients may prefer complete abstinence while others may want to explore moderation, regain control, or better understand their patterns before deciding on a specific direction. The goal of early sessions is to create clarity, reduce shame, and build a foundation for meaningful, sustainable change.
