What Sets Me Apart

Hi, I’m Astrid—a Licensed Professional Counselor and Supervisor with over 33 years of experience helping people navigate life’s many stages, especially the unique challenges that come with later life.

Whether you're facing a major life transition, coping with health changes, grieving a loss, feeling isolated, or simply wondering what’s next—I’m here to support you. Aging brings wisdom, but it can also stir up big emotions and difficult adjustments. You deserve a space to process it all, reconnect with yourself, and move forward with peace and purpose.

We’ll work together to explore what’s weighing you down, strengthen your coping skills, and rediscover what brings you meaning. You don’t have to face this season alone.

A bit about my approach to therapy

Why Work With Me?

I’m here to provide a safe, supportive space where you and your family can feel truly heard and understood. Whether your child is dealing with behavioral struggles, anxiety, or big emotions, or you’re an adult managing grief, stress, relationship challenges, or life changes, I’ll tailor therapy to fit your unique needs.

Together, we’ll work on building better emotional regulation, improving communication, strengthening relationships, and developing practical tools to manage everyday challenges.

I also work with children ages 4–17 navigate issues like defiance, ADHD, school difficulties, anxiety, and trauma — and I partner closely with parents to create effective behavior strategies and healthier family dynamics.

For adults, I support you through life transitions, grief, caregiver stress, mood and anxiety challenges, and feelings of overwhelm. I also help adults over 50 build resilience and hope as they navigate later-life changes.

With me, you’ll gain real skills to feel more in control, confident, and connected—to yourself and others.
