Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Asyia! I became a therapist because therapy changed my life first, and I know what it means to finally feel heard. I especially love working with teens and young adults, though I see clients of every age, on depression, anxiety, stress, grief, and trauma. I meet you with warmth, not judgment, and I'd love to be part of your journey forward.

My approach to therapy

My approach blends cognitive behavioral and trauma-focused work with a family systems lens, so we look at how your thoughts, feelings, and relationships interact and build practical tools that fit your life, especially useful for the stress and pressure many teens and young adults are carrying. If you're a parent, I also draw on parent-child connection techniques; for couples and families, solution-focused and structural approaches help us work through conflict together. Whatever brought you here, depression, anxiety, stress, grief, or trauma, we'll build a plan that moves at your pace.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we'll spend time getting to know each other so you feel comfortable sharing what's really going on, whether you're a teen figuring things out or an adult carrying something heavier. There's no pressure to have the right words, we'll figure it out together. Sessions are fully virtual, so you can meet with me from wherever is most comfortable, and we'll check in regularly on what's working.
