Hello and welcome to my profile. My name is Athena Faranda. I currently see adults, children and adolescents virtually and in person whom are experiencing symptoms of complex grief, generalized anxiety, social anxiety , depression, dysthymia, seasonal depression, and PTSD
My goal is to create an atmosphere that is safe for my clients to explore their thoughts, emotions and behaviors as well as life circumstances impacting the clients emotional , physical and mental well being. I use psycho- education and mindfulness meditation when the client is open to these modalities as well as cognitive restructuring and solution based approaches.
My clients can expect to take away new skills to manage and reduce their symptoms as well as insights that will improve their lives and relationships.
