Great to meet you!

Hi, my name is Athina, a psychiatric provider of NuYu Mental Health. At NuYu, we believe mental health care should look beyond symptoms. We provide evidence-based psychiatric care that combines thoughtful medication management with a whole-person approach to wellness. We consider the many factors that influence mental health—including sleep, nutrition, exercise, stress, relationships, medical conditions, and emotional well-being—to create personalized treatment plans that fit your unique needs.

Our goal is to work collaboratively with you to improve not only how you feel, but how you function and thrive in everyday life. Medication can be an important part of treatment, but we believe lasting mental wellness comes from understanding and supporting the whole person.

My approach to therapy

Our approach to care is compassionate, collaborative, and holistic. We understand that every person’s mental health journey is unique, which is why we take the time to truly listen and understand each individual before developing a personalized treatment plan tailored to their goals.

We provide comprehensive psychiatric care that integrates thoughtful medication management with supportive therapy. Together, we’ll focus on practical, sustainable strategies to help you feel more stable, focused, and emotionally balanced.

We specialize in treating anxiety, depression, mood disorders, ADHD, and trauma-related conditions. We also work with individuals navigating life transitions, stress, burnout, and relationship challenges who are looking to strengthen their overall emotional well-being.

Our goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered. Through evidence-based treatment and genuine human connection, we strive to help you build confidence, navigate life’s challenges, and take meaningful steps toward lasting mental wellness.

What you can expect from me

In your first session, our priority is helping you feel comfortable, safe, and truly heard. We’ll spend time getting to know you and discussing what brought you in, your current challenges, past experiences, and what you hope will feel different moving forward.

We’ll ask thoughtful questions to better understand your symptoms, history, lifestyle, and goals. Together, we’ll begin developing a personalized treatment plan that may include medication management, supportive therapy, lifestyle recommendations, or practical strategies tailored to your individual needs.

You’ll also have plenty of space to ask questions, share concerns, and discuss what feels most important to you. Our goal is for you to leave your first appointment feeling understood, supported, and confident about the next steps—with a sense of hope and direction for your care.
