Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist with 10 years of experience in the helping field. I have a strong background in behaviorism, working with children, families, and adults with developmental/intellectual disorders as well as working with low-income populations to support their mental health needs prior to beginning my graduate program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Sonoma State University. Since starting my therapeutic work, I have provided person-centered, trauma-informed therapy to diverse families and adults within my community, adults within the CPS system, and young boys/men in a juvenile detention center. I am biracial, Black and White, and feel especially honored when I can provide services within my racial community.

My approach to therapy

My approach is to be person-centered and follow where the client would like to go, and at their pace. I am feminist-oriented and always lean into validating the social contexts that bring about many forms of oppression and stress. I tend to utilize a combination of trauma-informed cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, internal family systems, and somatic approaches. My philosophy is oriented around the belief that every person is the expert on themselves and my work is to help one understand themselves, who they are, what they want, and empower them to act in their own best interest.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect that I will provide a framework for the therapeutic experience and begin understanding what has brought them to seek therapy at this time.
