Great to meet you!
I have been in the counseling field since 2003. I graduated from The University of Central Florida with my masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. In 2007 I developed a 13-week marriage preparation program at Summit Church, which I led hundreds of couples through over four years.
I enjoy working with couples, helping them develop strong, healthy relationships as they embark on their journey towards marriage and for all the years that follow. I believe people are made to do life together, which can bring both great joy and pain. I understand that a great marriage takes work, commitment, and desire. Whether you are preparing for marriage, wanting to enrich your marriage, or need help in the midst of a painful time in your relationship, I will come alongside you and offer you the support and guidance you desire.
I also love working with moms who need a place to process the struggles of motherhood, a place to be heard and to feel safe to share all their thoughts and longings. Motherhood can feel very lonely and like a rollercoaster. You love your children, but sometimes they drive you crazy and really press your buttons (also known as triggers in the therapy world). These times can be short-lived or long and exhausting. Motherhood brings up so many feelings and thoughts. Having a caring professional you can process your emotions with is life-giving to you, and in the long run, to your family. I understand how motherhood can lead to feeling like “you’ve lost yourself” and are unsure of who you are, or what you want. I understand the desire to be the mom you always dreamed of being and can help navigate common pitfalls that lead to feelings of failure, making that goal achievable again.
