Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Aubrey. I’m glad you’re here. I know it can feel overwhelming to seek support, so let me tell you a little about me and my practice to help you decide if I would be a good fit. My clients seek counseling for help navigating their relationships, grappling with stress, or after life-altering events. Whatever brings you here, I believe our struggles make sense in the context of our experiences. Alongside managing mental health symptoms, I work with people to understand the underlying needs that drive our actions.

My approach to therapy

In my practice, I recognize that past experiences continue to shape present-day life. Because of this, we might struggle to move on from old survival strategies that used to help us. In my work, I find that when we address the past, we can shift our present and future simultaneously.

For more than 10 years, I’ve worked with people who face anxiety, depression, childhood trauma, grief and loss, ADHD, relationship challenges, stress, low self-confidence, and addiction/compulsive behaviors. My approach is collaborative, warm, and grounded in genuine curiosity. I strive to create a space where you can feel comfortable enough to explore difficult experiences, reconnect with yourself, and discover new ways of moving through life.

My work is grounded in Transpersonal Psychology and integrates EMDR, Art Therapy, mindfulness, and meditation when they support your goals. There are many ways to heal and grow. I work together with my clients to find the approach that honors your unique experiences, builds on your strengths, and supports meaningful, lasting growth.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. I'll invite you to share what brings you to therapy, any challenges you're experiencing, and what you hope will be different in your life. We'll also explore your personal history and identify any patterns or experiences that may be contributing to what you're facing today.

Most importantly, the first session is about creating a space where you feel heard, understood, and comfortable. We'll move at a pace that feels right for you, and by the end of our session, we'll begin developing a plan that reflects your goals and the approach that feels like the best fit for your healing.
