Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and I have been practicing in the field for 10+ years. I received my Master of Counseling Psychology degree from Louisiana State University where I began my work in the mental health field. I have worked with teens, young adults, and adults struggling with many different mental health needs that have affected their ability to feel in control of their own world.

I have focused my training and specialization on individual that have experienced trauma resulting in depression, anxiety, substance use and struggles with overall coping and being able to thrive. My passion is working with populations that are forced into trauma due to their economic status, zip code, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, race, etc.

My approach to therapy

I work alongside clients to build a trust-based relationship in which the client is able to begin to feel safe and heard. My main treatment modalities are CBT, DBT, ACT, TBRI and trauma-informed care. People often come into my office when things feel the most out of control in their life and I hope to help them find a way to feel they are in control again.

What you can expect from me

Our first session consists of us getting to know one another. I learn more about your past and what is occurring presently. We focus on what you hope to get out of therapy and figure out a plan to get there.
