My name is Audra Perez and much of my experience as a LCSW has been spent working with people living with a variety of life changing medical conditions, grief/loss, combat vets and caregivers. Often we spend time developing coping techniques to deal with the mental/emotional impact of their diagnosis, loss, trauma, etc. In general, improving quality of life and relationships, reducing depression/anxiety/stress, boundary setting, increasing self-awareness/confidence are common areas of focus.
My therapeutic approach is rooted in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) which focuses on altering unwanted emotions, behaviors, and thoughts. CBT works to get to the root of unwanted and unproductive emotions, behaviors, and thoughts so we can work on setting goals to initiate positive changes. I am also a firm believer in leaning into one’s strengths and building on them to develop coping techniques that work well for you.
Human to human, I want you to know that I see you. I am here to meet you where you are in your life and my priority is to hold a safe, healing, supportive, confidential and judgment free space for you. Together, we will build a trusting partnership so we can work toward enriching your life experience. I want you to learn to recognize your strengths and make any desired changes to get you to your best self and into a place where you can move forward and find peace and contentment in your life.
