Great to meet you!

Welcome! I’m Audrey R. Davis, LCSW, a licensed clinical social worker, educator, and consultant dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges. I have a Master’s in Social Work with a concentration in School Social Work and hold multiple Professional Educator Licenses, including School Social Work and School Administration. My professional journey spans over six years as a school social worker, eight years as a psychotherapist, and six years as a full-time professor of social work education. Currently, I continue to serve as an adjunct professor, ensuring that future professionals are equipped with the knowledge and skills to make a meaningful impact.

Since 2017, I have owned and operated my private practice, where I provide telehealth services to individuals of all ages. My therapeutic approach is rooted in evidence-based practices, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, and Christian counseling, tailored to meet each client's unique needs.

In addition to my clinical work, I am a special education advocate and business consultant, with extensive experience supporting families, educators, and organizations in navigating special education laws, school-based interventions, and student services. My background in education, mental health, and administration allows me to provide a comprehensive and solution-focused approach to the individuals and communities I serve.

Whether you are seeking therapy, guidance in the educational system, or professional consultation, I am here to help. I look forward to working with you on your journey toward growth and empowerment.

A bit about my approach to therapy

As a licensed clinical social worker, my approach is holistic, empowering, and client-centered. I recognize that human behavior is shaped by the social environment, and I emphasize goodness of fit—helping clients align with supportive environments. Therapy is a collaborative journey, where clients are active participants in their healing and growth.

I empower clients by meeting them where they are, equipping them with tools and strategies to improve their lives. My evidence-based, strength-based approaches include:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) – reframing negative thought patterns
  • Trauma-Informed Practice – creating a safe space for healing
  • Solution-Focused Therapy – identifying strengths and actionable steps
  • Talk Therapy – providing a space for reflection and emotional processing
  • Psychoanalytic Approaches – understanding how past experiences shape behaviors
  • Empowerment-Based Therapy – fostering confidence and self-advocacy
  • Strengths-Based Therapy – recognizing and building resilience
  • Christian Counseling (optional) – integrating faith into therapy
  • Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Principles – developing emotional intelligence and self-regulation

I am committed to helping individuals, families, and couples build self-awareness, effective communication, and emotional resilience, ensuring they feel heard, valued, and empowered to navigate life’s challenges with confidence.

What you can expect from our first session

I believe therapy should be purposeful and empowering, with goals tailored to each client’s unique needs. Together, we define what success looks like—whether it’s improving emotional well-being, gaining clarity in decision-making, or developing healthier coping strategies.

Every person has strengths, whether inherent or developed through a growth mindset. My goal is to help you recognize and build upon these strengths, equipping you with the tools and confidence to navigate life’s challenges with resilience.

In our work together, you can expect to:

  • Gain insight into your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors
  • Develop healthy coping strategies for stress, anxiety, or trauma
  • Strengthen decision-making skills and take empowered action
  • Cultivate self-awareness and improve relationships
  • Increase confidence in problem-solving and personal growth
  • Feel validated, supported, and heard in a non-judgmental space

I strive to create an affirming, safe, and growth-oriented environment where you feel empowered to own your decisions and actively improve your life. Therapy is about progress, not perfection, and my goal is to help you move forward with confidence and purpose.
