Great to meet you!

My name is Augusta Umenyi. I am a compassionate, dedicated and excellence driven, dual-board certified PMHNP and FNP. After over 20 years of extensive experience in diverse clinical practice settings as an FNP, I obtained an additional degree to become a PMHNP to fully encompass mental health and to enrich my passion for holistic care. I do virtual visit. This widens my clients access to health care in the comfort and privacy of their home. I specialize in working with teens, adolescents, and adults. My specialty area includes Anxiety, Panic attack, Depression, PTSD, ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, Eating disorder, Insomnia, Grief/loss and other mental health conditions. I believe that every individual deserves to be heard, understood, and treated with dignity and respect.

My approach to therapy

As a dual-board certified PMHNP and FNP, I incorporate an interactive, nonjudgemental, empathetic, holistic, and patient-centered approach to make my patients feel comfortable and to avoid missing any pertinent details.

My treatment approach will be individualized, culturally sensitive, and will include medication and Therapy whenever appropriate.

My approach is warm, empowering, collaborative, and person-centered, recognizing that each client's experiences, goals, and needs are unique. I work alongside my clients to develop personalized treatment plans that promote healing, resilience, and lasting wellness.

I am passionate about helping individuals overcome life's challenges and achieve emotional well-being. I believe that mental health is an essential part of overall health and finds great fulfillment in empowering clients to build confidence, develop healthy coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change.

Whether clients are seeking support for a new mental health concern or managing a long-term condition, I am committed to providing compassionate, individualized care that helps clients move toward a healthier, more fulfilling life.

What you can expect from me

My goal is to build a good rapport with each client to establish trust, build a strong therapeutic alliance that will encourage open communication and hopefully reduce patient anxiety and increase compliance with plan of care.

During the first few sessions, clients can expect a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment where they have the opportunity to share their story, discuss their concerns, ask questions and work collaboratively to develop a treatment plan tailored to their individual needs in an environment that ensures support throughout clients mental health journey.
