Augustine Mensah

I’m Augustine Mensah, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and founder of Aura Integra Behavioral Health, PLLC. I specialize in helping people navigate anxiety, depression, mood disorders, ADHD, trauma-related concerns, substance use, and co-occurring mental health conditions. My background in both psychiatric and addiction care has taught me that symptoms rarely tell the whole story. I want you to feel heard, understood, and supported as we work toward helping you feel more like yourself again.

I believe good psychiatric care starts with listening. I take time to understand your symptoms, experiences, relationships, sleep, health, stressors, and the other pieces of life that may be affecting how you feel. When medication is appropriate, I’ll explain your options and work with you to choose a plan that feels both comfortable and realistic. My goal is not just to treat symptoms, but to help you move toward greater stability, confidence, and overall well-being.

Our first session is a conversation about you, not just your symptoms or diagnosis. We’ll talk about what brought you in, what has and hasn’t worked before, your health and treatment history, and what you hope will be different moving forward. You’ll have plenty of room to ask questions and share concerns without feeling rushed or judged. By the end of our visit, we’ll discuss my initial impressions and build a treatment plan together that makes sense for your needs and goals.
