Hi, I'm Aurea De Los Santos, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-R) with more than 18 years of experience helping adults navigate life's challenges. I work with people experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, relationship concerns, communication issues, stress, self-esteem issues, women's issues, and mood disorders, and I provide care in both English and Spanish. My approach is compassionate, practical, and grounded in evidence-based therapies, with the goal of helping you feel understood, build on your strengths, and create meaningful, lasting change. Wherever you are in your journey, I'm here to support you with warmth, respect, and without judgment.
I know reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step, so I strive to create a space where you can feel comfortable being yourself. I believe therapy isn't one-size-fits-all. I tailor therapy to fit your unique needs, combining evidence-based approaches with genuine curiosity, compassion, and practical support. Some days we may focus on learning new coping skills, while other days we may explore deeper patterns or past experiences. My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered. Wherever you are in your journey, we'll work together to help you move toward the life you want.
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and my goal is to help you feel comfortable from the very beginning. During our first session, we'll get to know each other, talk about what's bringing you to therapy, and explore what you'd like to achieve. I'll answer any questions you have, explain what to expect, and we'll work together to create goals that fit your needs. Most importantly, this is an opportunity to see if we're a good fit and to begin building a trusting relationship where meaningful change can happen.
