Great to meet you!

I feel privileged to have the opportunity to help people make changes in their lives. I am both a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Licensed Addictions Counselor (LAC) who in addition to working with depression, anxiety, trauma and abuse, and adjustment disorders, specializes in Co-occurring addiction with mental health disorders. Please check my website: www.erivynn.com

My approach to therapy

My counseling style is open, warm, non-judgmental and one of empowerment. I treat those with whom I interact with respect, compassion, and a sensitivity to meet you where you are. My counseling approach incorporates humanistic, cognitive behavioral with use of motivational interviewing. I attempt to fit my communication style with yours to meet your unique needs. I may incorporate a broad range of methods into working with you according to what you may need in the moment.

What you can expect from me

During our first session I listen to the primary factors motivating you for therapy, what you expect or hope life would be like once these main challenges are resolved, and beginning steps you might take. This session may be solution-focused. However, I empower you as the primary director in our sessions and you may choose at any time to “take a break” from work and process at your own pace. As your part of your support, I guide you based on what you feel you need in each session.
