Great to meet you!

There's a particular kind of worry a teenager carries quietly, the kind that looks like a shrug or a closed door but is actually anxiety, school pressure, or self doubt building up with nowhere to go. I spent 13 years as a classroom teacher before becoming a therapist, and I still work in a public middle school today, so I've seen that quiet struggle up close, and I've seen what happens in a family when communication breaks down under the weight of it. Now I work with teens, young adults, adults, and families across Florida, in both English and Spanish, supporting people through anxiety, stress, depression, ADHD, life transitions, and relationship challenges.

My approach to therapy

We'll go deep on what's actually driving the anxiety, whether that's a teenager trying to hold it together at school or a family where conversations keep breaking down before anyone feels heard, rather than skimming the surface of a dozen different issues. My years in the classroom shaped how I show up for this work. I've watched firsthand how a struggling teen can go unnoticed, and that experience is part of why I care so much about catching it early and helping families talk to each other again. You'll walk away with practical ways to manage overwhelming emotions, a clearer sense of your own patterns, and steadier footing in your relationships. I work best with people who are ready to be honest about what's hard, even if they're not sure yet how to say it.

What you can expect from me

Your first session with me starts simple. We'll talk through confidentiality so you know your privacy is protected, then I'll ask open ended questions about your life, your relationships, your sleep, your stress, whatever feels important to you that day. It's as much a chance for you to see if I'm the right fit as it is for me to understand you. If any part of what you just read sounded familiar, I'd love to hear from you. Reach out whenever you're ready.
