Great to meet you!

Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. My name is Aurora, and I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.

As you begin your therapy journey, I’d love to share a little about my therapeutic style so you can get a sense of who I am and whether we might be a good clinical fit.

As a Latina therapist, I believe culture plays an important role in the therapy room. Our cultural backgrounds, family experiences, relationships, and identities can all shape the way we understand ourselves and navigate the world. Both my personal and professional experiences have deeply influenced my approach to therapy.

I especially enjoy working with individuals and families navigating multigenerational patterns, family dynamics, and trauma. My goal is to create a warm, compassionate, and culturally responsive space where you feel seen, understood, and supported as you work toward meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

I’m known for providing a space that is both warm and supportive while also gently challenging you to explore the deeper patterns that may be keeping you stuck. My approach is rooted in psychodynamic therapy, where I believe that looking at our past experiences and identifying recurring or destructive patterns can open the door to meaningful healing and lasting change.

At the same time, I believe therapy should meet you where you are. I take an adaptable and flexible approach, allowing each session to be guided by your individual needs, experiences, and goals. Whether you need space to process, support through a difficult moment, or encouragement to look more deeply within yourself, I strive to create a safe, nurturing, and compassionate environment where you can feel comfortable being your authentic self.

What you can expect from me

During our sessions, you can expect there to be moments of laughter. I believe humor can be an important part of building connection and creating a space where you can feel comfortable being yourself.

At the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship. I take the time to genuinely get to know you and understand your unique experiences, while creating a space where you can feel heard, respected, and accepted without judgment. My hope is that you feel safe enough to be honest, explore difficult experiences, and show up for you.
