Great to meet you!

After undergrad, I spent three years working in humanitarian/refugee organizations in the Middle East. A year of that time was spent doing refugee work during the Syrian war. I was greatly affected by this experience, mainly from witnessing the suffering and trauma of the displaced Syrian refugees and their lack of mental health services. This experience motivated me to pursue psychology and gave me a passion to assist individuals who are impaired or struggling to create movement in their lives.

My approach to therapy

I find it imperative in my practice to make every client — regardless of background, race, sexual orientation, or ethnicity — feel welcome and supported. I assist adults and young adults in gaining insight and awareness into what is causing them distress, discouragement, or feelings of being stuck. My therapeutic work is shaped by humanistic and cognitive behavioral techniques. My areas of clinical specialization include anxiety, depression, trauma, stress management, and life transitions.

What you can expect from me

Our work together will help you make sense of earlier experiences, address current concerns, and provide you with tools for making real and lasting change. I will use my knowledge and experience, as well as effective therapeutic techniques, to help guide and empower you so that you can work your way out of your challenges. I provide a positive space and warm therapeutic relationship and I welcome those who are new to therapy.
