Great to meet you!

Autumn is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Originally from the Midwest, Autumn received a BA in Journalism and a BA in Graphic Design from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. After many years exploring various professions in the publishing, legal, and hospitality worlds while also building her own business, Autumn felt a calling to be a counselor. She attended DePaul University in Chicago to pursue a Masters of Education, focusing on school counseling and clinical counseling. Autumn is currently a high school counselor at a large, public high school in the Denver Metro area and is able to offer clients evening and weekend sessions.

My approach to therapy

Autumn focuses her practice around reality therapy, empowering her clients to see the aspects of their life that they can and cannot control and respond to. She also uses a CBT approach to challenge thoughts and feelings that do not serve the client in a positive manner. Autumn also utilizes solution-focused therapy to create goals to move the client forward in their journey.

Autumn has experience working with young adults and adults who struggle with a variety of challenges such as: anxiety, relational issues, self-esteem, identity exploration, stress management, life transitions and fertility challenges.

What you can expect from me

Autumn believes that every person has a story worth hearing and clients are the experts of their own life. She hopes to gain the trust of her clients by building their self-awareness and using strength-based coping skills to improve their quality of life.
