Great to meet you!

Clients should know that I am a compassionate, experienced, and dedicated mental health provider who is deeply committed to meeting them where they are. With over 17 years of experience working with diverse adolescents and adults in various settings, I bring a wealth of knowledge, cultural awareness, and a genuine passion for helping others grow and heal. I prioritize the therapeutic relationship and believe that trust, comfort, and collaboration are the foundation of effective therapy.

I create a space that is safe, supportive, and judgment-free, where clients can feel comfortable being themselves. I use evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients recognize how their thoughts impact their lives and to guide them in making meaningful changes. As a doctoral student in clinical psychology with a strong educational background in psychology and counseling, I continue to grow both professionally and personally, bringing that knowledge and insight into every session. Most importantly, clients should know that I value them as individuals and am here to walk alongside them on their journey with empathy, honesty, and respect.

My approach to therapy

As a therapist, my approach is grounded in building a strong, trusting, and collaborative relationship with each client. With over 17 years of experience working with adolescents and adults from diverse backgrounds, I aim to meet clients exactly where they are with empathy, openness, and a commitment to their individual needs. I believe that therapy should feel like a safe, welcoming conversation rather than a clinical process, and I strive to create a space that is both comfortable and supportive.

I primarily utilize evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify negative and unhelpful thought patterns and explore how these thoughts influence their emotions and behaviors. Through this process, we work together to build insight, develop coping strategies, and foster resilience.

My approach is also deeply shaped by my background in education, mental health, and social services, with a focus on multiculturalism, inclusivity, and family stability. I bring a holistic perspective that values each client’s unique life experiences, cultural identity, and personal strengths. Ultimately, my goal is to empower clients to move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and emotional well-being.

What you can expect from me

My clients can expect to leave sessions feeling heard, supported, and empowered. My goal is to create a safe and nonjudgmental space where individuals can openly explore their thoughts, feelings, and challenges. Through our work together, clients will gain a deeper understanding of themselves, develop practical tools to manage stress, anxiety, depression, and other concerns, and begin to shift unhelpful thought patterns using evidence-based interventions like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

Our sessions will feel more like meaningful conversations than traditional therapy, allowing for a comfortable and collaborative environment. Clients will also gain increased self-awareness, enhanced emotional regulation, and a clearer path toward personal growth and healing. With a strong emphasis on multicultural awareness, inclusivity, and respect for each individual’s background and strengths, I aim to help clients build resilience and move forward with confidence in their journey.
