Ave Jackson

I received my MSW from Southern University at New Orleans and Bachelor’s degree from the University of New Orleans. I have been working with individuals, children, and Seniors since 2005. I began my Social Work career with the Department of Children and Family Services in Louisiana. I have worked in Hospice care providing support to patients and families who need support with end-of-life care, including grief support, and family support as well as providing supportive counseling to children.

My work focuses on anxiety, depression, positive self-image, stress, and anger management. I believe in a collaborative approach to helping clients reach their goals. I am passionate about bringing mental health services to underserved communities. My hours are non-traditional. I am available late evenings during the week as well as weekend hours.
