Great to meet you!

Great to meet you! I'm Averie, and I work with children, adolescents, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, grief or loss, identity issues, and trauma. I also support individuals working through ADHD, family issues, stress management, anger management, panic disorders, relationship issues, and women's issues.

Whether you're a parent worried about your child who's struggling to make friends at school, a teen trying to figure out who you are and where you fit in, an adult grieving the loss of someone you love, or someone working through anxiety that makes everyday tasks feel overwhelming, I'm here to help. Maybe you're navigating a major life transition, healing from trauma, or simply feeling stuck and unsure of your next step. I have experience supporting people from a wide range of backgrounds and life experiences, and I strive to create a supportive space where you feel valued, understood, and empowered to grow.

My style is warm, affirming, and empowering. As a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Professional School Counselor, I help clients navigate social, emotional, and behavioral challenges while building confidence and resilience in a safe, supportive space. I believe therapy should be a place for exploration, growth, and self-discovery, and I'm here to walk alongside you on that journey.

My approach to therapy

I work collaboratively with clients to identify strengths, clarify goals, and develop practical strategies for overcoming challenges. My approach is tailored to each individual's needs and focuses on creating meaningful, lasting change. I use evidence-based methods including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Behavioral techniques, and Strength-Based approaches.

Whether we're using play-based interventions with a child who's struggling with big emotions, helping a teen build coping skills for anxiety, or supporting an adult through grief or identity exploration, I meet you where you are and build a plan that fits your life and your goals.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we'll explore what brings you or your family to therapy and what you hope to gain from our work together. I'll take time to understand your experiences, strengths, and goals so we can begin identifying practical, actionable steps forward. If you're bringing in a child, I'll make sure they feel comfortable and safe in a way that's appropriate for their age.

You can expect a warm, affirming space where you feel heard and valued. My goal is for you to leave feeling comfortable, understood, and hopeful about the path ahead.
