Great to meet you!

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist with a Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy (emphasis in Medical Family Therapy) from Loma Linda University and a Master’s in Psychology from Chapman University.

My career has included running a large private practice, teaching at the university level, presenting at national conferences such as AFCC, and publishing research in the field of family therapy.

I work with adult men and women navigating challenges such as stress, anxiety, depression, grief, chronic illness, and major life transitions. I understand that seeking help can feel daunting, so I strive to make therapy a safe and welcoming space where you can be yourself without fear of judgment.

My approach is compassionate and collaborative. I meet you where you are, and together, we work toward building insight, developing practical coping strategies, and creating a more balanced and meaningful life.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy should feel like a safe and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences without fear of judgment. My style is collaborative and client-centered — we work together to clarify your goals, uncover patterns that may be holding you back, and develop practical strategies for lasting change.

I draw from evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness practices, while tailoring each session to your unique needs and preferences. I see therapy as a partnership — you bring your life experience, and I bring professional expertise, tools, and perspective. Together, we focus on building resilience, improving self-awareness, and creating a life that feels more balanced, fulfilling, and authentic.

What you can expect from me

This is your session. A time dedicated entirely to you, your needs, and your goals. My aim is for you to leave each meeting feeling heard, understood, and supported, with practical tools you can use in your daily life.

You can expect to gain greater clarity about your challenges, a deeper understanding of yourself, and strategies for navigating difficult emotions and situations. Over time, many clients notice increased self-confidence, stronger coping skills, and a renewed sense of direction. Whether you are facing stress, anxiety, grief, or a major life transition, I want you to walk away with both immediate relief and lasting skills to help you create the changes you are looking for.
