Great to meet you!

Hi everyone! My name is Dr. Awtum Johnson. I am a licensed clinical social worker and mental health professional with over 5 years of experience counseling children, adolescents, and adults. I have recently graduated with my Doctorate in social work with a concentration in clinical social work. I believe in meaningful change that happens through a collaborative and trusting therapeutic relationship.

My clinical experiences include working with adolescents and adults experiencing depression, anger issues, anxiety, trauma, behavioral/school issues, severe mental illness, life transitions, relationship concerns, and stress related to personal, professional, and family responsibilities.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, person-centered, and strengths-based. I believe that meaningful change occurs when clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to explore their experiences in a safe and supportive environment. Together, we will work to identify goals, develop coping strategies, and foster lasting growth and well-being.

What you can expect from me

A warm introductory session to get to know more about your goals and desires for therapy. I want to ensure you feel comfortable as we develop our therapeutic relationship and work toward your goals.
