Dr. Ayden Ferstenberg

Hi there! I'm a licensed clinical psychologist, offering individual, relationship, and sex therapy. I specialize in working with individuals and couples struggling to connect with themselves or each other. Many of my clients have difficulty navigating life transitions, perfectionism, people-pleasing, harsh self-criticisms, fears of failure or losing control, or feeling empty or broken inside. I am also a geropsychologist and work with people navigating concerns with aging or caregiving.

I work from an integrated and experiential perspective. I support you in going deeper to understand how the emotional truths that implicitly guide the way you experience the world may be keeping you stuck. I help you connect more intimately with yourself and support you in developing new skills and strategies that help you navigate life more meaningfully. I am an active participant observer in this process, and will work with you and guide you in building the life you want.

Together, we will notice patterns in the way you think, feel, and engage in the world; explore the unspoken “rules” or “truths” you hold about yourself and others; face with gentleness, compassion, and honesty all the different parts of yourself; identify your values and dreams; and explore how to infuse life with intention and meaning. It’s my job to create a space where you feel both safe and brave enough to examine all the different parts of you in order to create deep and lasting change.
