Great to meet you!

Welcome, I’m really glad you’re here.

My name is Ayodelli Whyte-Kortsen, and I’m a licensed therapist in Texas and Georgia with over 8 years of experience supporting people through life’s most challenging and transformative moments. I work with adolescents, adults, and older adults (ages 13–75), helping with anxiety, trauma, depression, low self-worth, motivation struggles, emotional overwhelm, and major life transitions.

I’m not just a therapist, I’m a person who understands how heavy it can feel to carry pain while trying to hold everything together. As a military veteran and founder of Kortsen’s Changed Mindsets, I’ve seen firsthand the strength it takes to heal, grow, and rediscover your sense of purpose.

I hold a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and have extensive experience in psychiatric and crisis settings, working with individuals from many different backgrounds and walks of life.

My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and genuinely supported, just as you are.

If you’re ready to begin your healing journey, I’m here to walk alongside you.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is personalized, flexible, and centered around you. Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all; it should meet you where you are and grow with you.

I use a variety of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), and mindfulness-based practices like Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

What matters most is finding what WORKS for YOU. Together, we’ll move at your pace, building on your strengths while gently working through challenges.

Whether you’re looking to build confidence, gain clarity, process past experiences, or reconnect with yourself, I’ll support you with both compassion and practical tools to help you move forward.

What you can expect from me

Therapy with me is a warm, non-judgmental space where you can feel safe being yourself and exploring what’s on your mind. I offer a balance of empathy and honesty, with support and gentle accountability, always centered on your voice.

Together, we’ll focus on what matters most to you, whether that’s healing, improving relationships, setting boundaries, or managing difficult emotions. I’ll provide tools and guidance to help you move forward at your own pace.

In our first session, we’ll get to know each other, talk about what brings you in, and begin shaping a plan that feels right for you.

You don’t have to have it all figured out, just a willingness to begin. You’re not alone, and healing is possible.
