Great to meet you!

Maybe you know exactly what’s hurting—or maybe you just know that something doesn’t feel right anymore. You might feel anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, stuck in the same patterns, or still affected by experiences you thought you had moved past. I’m Ayse, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who helps adults understand not only what they’re feeling, but what may be underneath it and why it keeps showing up. You don’t need to have the right words, know where to start, or have everything figured out before coming to therapy. I’ll meet you where you are, and together we’ll make sense of your story, heal what still hurts, and help you move toward a life that feels more like your own.

My approach to therapy

My style is warm and compassionate, but also active, curious, and honest—I won’t just sit back and nod while you do all the work. Together, we look beneath the symptoms to understand the patterns, beliefs, emotions, and protective responses that may have once helped you survive but no longer serve you. I integrate EMDR, Accelerated Resolution Therapy, IFS, Schema Therapy, CBT, and DBT, choosing interventions intentionally based on your needs rather than using the same formula with every client. Therapy with me is about developing insight, experiencing healing, and turning what you discover in session into meaningful changes in your everyday life.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, especially when you’re not sure where to begin or how much you’re ready to share. In our first session, there’s no pressure to tell your whole story—we’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable while getting to know what brought you in and what you hope could be different. I’ll ask questions, listen with curiosity, and help us begin connecting the pieces of what you’re experiencing. Most importantly, our first session is about creating a space where you can feel heard, understood, and comfortable enough to decide whether I’m the right therapist for you.
