Azure earned a BA in Psychology and Family Studies from Texas Tech University and an Master of Social Work degree with an emphasis on Children and Families from the University of Texas at Arlington. She grew up in a military home and is the surviving spouse of a USAF pilot; therefore, she has extensive knowledge in military culture.

My approach to therapy

Ms. Murphy has over ten years of experience working with family law cases in the state of Texas and specializes in Azure has specific training in EMDR therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). She is a certified expert in Personality Disorders and has a unique understanding of the path of destruction they have on people's lives. Using a client-focused approach, she collaborates with each client to create a treatment plan unique to that client.

What you can expect from me

Azure deeply values and strives to create a confidential, unbiased atmosphere in the counseling room; if counseling is not confidential it is not effective. She also makes every effort to help her client's feel at ease by making the counseling experience more relaxed by making each session feel more conversational. Azure considers it a success if the client leaves the counseling room feeling heard and with a sense of trust in her and her approach.
