Great to meet you!

I am a board-certified psychiatrist with experience treating adults across a wide range of psychiatric conditions, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma-related conditions, psychotic disorders, and complex psychiatric presentations. My background includes working in high-acuity and state hospital settings, where I collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care.

I completed my medical training and residency in psychiatry in New Jersey and have experience caring for individuals in both inpatient and outpatient settings. My approach emphasizes thoughtful evaluation, evidence-based treatment, and building a collaborative therapeutic relationship with each patient. I believe treatment works best when patients feel heard, respected, and actively involved in decisions regarding their care.

My goal is to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where patients can openly discuss their concerns and goals. I believe that when patients trust their provider, it creates a stronger therapeutic relationship that can lead to better treatment outcomes. My treatment approach may include medication management, supportive therapy, and coordination with other healthcare professionals when appropriate. I work with patients experiencing depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, stress-related conditions, sleep concerns, and other mental health challenges.

I value clear communication, professionalism, and individualized care, recognizing that every patient’s experiences and needs are unique.

My approach to therapy

I take a collaborative, patient-centered approach to care, focusing on thoughtful evaluation and evidence-based treatment tailored to each individual’s needs. I aim to understand not only symptoms, but also a wider context of a person’s life, including stressors, relationships, and goals.

My interview style is structured but also very flexible, combining careful diagnostic assessment with practical, goal-oriented treatment planning. I primarily provide medication management when appropriate, and I often integrate supportive therapy principles into visits. I have also coordinated care with other healthcare providers when helpful to ensure continuity and comprehensive support.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, my focus is on getting a clear understanding of a patient’s concerns, history, and current symptoms. We will review your medical and psychiatric background, discuss what has or has not worked in the past, and explore your current goals for treatment. I believe a holistic understanding of a patient’s history helps support more effective and individualized outcomes.

By the end of the initial visit, I aim to establish a working diagnostic impression and outline an initial treatment plan. This may include medication options if appropriate, recommendations for therapy or higher levels of care, and clear next steps so you know what to expect moving forward. My goal is for you to leave the first session with clarity, direction, and a collaborative plan for care.
