Great to meet you!

My journey to becoming a therapist started with a deep passion for understanding human psychology. I’ve always been fascinated by what makes us who we are and how we navigate the world around us. This curiosity was sparked in my first college psychology class at the University of Texas, where I knew I wanted to turn this passion into a career.

After graduating from U.T., I went on to earn my Master’s in Professional Counseling from Texas State University. During my internship, I began working at an Intensive Outpatient Program for Substance Use Disorders, where I spent four years as a Program Counselor. This experience was transformative for me. I discovered my love for teaching, developed a deep sense of compassion, and learned how to be a safe, supportive presence for people facing some of life’s toughest challenges. It was an honor to be part of that program, and it shaped me as a therapist.

When I started my private practice, I carried these lessons with me—focusing on helping clients find contentment, peace, and strength. I work with people from all walks of life, ages and genders. I am an LGBTQ+ ally. I work from a sex-positive perspective. My clients generally find me warm and loving with a side of humor.

I’m grateful every day that I get to do this meaningful work.

My approach to therapy

I look at how the different parts of your life—like family, work, culture, and community—affect your well-being. I believe that our personalities are shaped not just by who we are as individuals but also by how we interact with the world around us. I also focus on understanding how your basic human needs are being met and where conflicts might come up when those needs aren’t fully addressed. My goal is to understand your unique story and offer education, compassion and opportunities for growth. I’m here to support you in a safe, non-judgmental space where we can work through challenges together.

What you can expect from me

You can expect to gain a better understanding of how your relationships and surroundings impact your feelings and behaviors. We’ll work together to figure out practical ways to handle challenges while staying true to who you are. My goal is to help you feel more balanced and resilient in your daily life.
