Great to meet you!

I believe healing begins when we feel safe enough to be heard, understood, and curious about our experiences. My own path to becoming a therapist began after a career in the corporate world, when I returned to school to pursue my long-held goal of helping others navigate life’s challenges.

I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Washington and am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Washington State. I have also trained in Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy since 1996 and am a certified ketamine-assisted psychotherapy provider.

In my work with adults, I help people address trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief, and the effects of difficult life experiences. I have a particular interest in supporting women who have spent years caring for others or adapting to expectations and are ready to reconnect with their own needs, strengths, and inner wisdom.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that each person’s journey is unique. Depending on your needs and goals, our work may include conversation, mindfulness, hypnotherapy, or other approaches that support greater understanding, self-compassion, and meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and centered on your individual needs. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to provide a safe, supportive space where we can explore what brings you to therapy and what you hope will change.

Together, we may look at how past experiences, relationships, and protective patterns have shaped the way you feel and respond today. With compassion and curiosity, we can work toward understanding those patterns, making room for healing, and discovering new ways to move forward.

I draw from a variety of approaches, including mindfulness, cognitive and behavioral techniques, and hypnotherapy when appropriate and of interest to you. I tailor our work to your goals and comfort level, recognizing that healing looks different for everyone.

My hope is that therapy helps you feel more connected to yourself, more confident in your choices, and better able to navigate life with self-compassion and trust in your own inner wisdom.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know one another and talk about what brings you to therapy. I’ll invite you to share what feels comfortable about your current concerns, your experiences, and what you hope to gain from our work together.

We’ll also discuss your background, strengths, and any previous experiences with therapy. I may ask questions to better understand your needs, but there is no expectation that you share everything at once. We can move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

You’ll have an opportunity to ask questions about my approach, and together we’ll begin to identify goals for therapy. My hope is that you leave our first session feeling heard, supported, and clearer about how we might work together.
