My name is Barbara Rodriguez and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey. I received my masters degree from NYU with an emphasis in clinical social work practice. I received my Bachelors Degree from Montclair State University in Psychology with a Minor in Communication Studies. I have experience working with a variety of clients including adolescents/young adults, elders, trauma, grief counseling, anxiety and depression and family conflict.
My counseling style is client focused and goal directed. I believe in meeting my client where they're at and working to form realistic and achievable goals. Opening up is never easy but I feel that challenging our negative thoughts allows us to learn how to channel energy into bettering ourselves, one step at a time.
I am realistic and down to earth. I believe in not always taking oneself too seriously and hope to create an open and comfortable environment for you to grow in. I look forward to working with you to help make a stronger you!
