Great to meet you!

I have 22+ years as a psychotherapist, assisting people meet their emotional, relational, and personal/life goals. I also have a significant science background. Having taught science at the college level, and being a Certified Brain Health Coach, I am able to provide clients with a neurological and physiological understanding of their emotions. Strategies I suggest for healing and growth, are rooted in how the brain and body function. I enjoy sharing this science with interested clients.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I begin with an assessment of clients’ concerns and goals for therapy. Working with clients, we determine what strategies will be most effective in enabling clients to reach their goals. Assessment of what is effective, or not, is ongoing. Changes to goals/strategies are made based on clients’ progress and satisfaction.

What you can expect from our first session

I work to create a positive, trusting, and accepting relationship with clients. I focus on and work with clients’ strengths as a means to success. At the end of the sessions, clients will have greater clarity about themselves and those with whom they interact. They will have greater insight, strategies, and confidence in dealing with what life has to offer. In other words, clients feel more hopeful and optimistic about their futures.
