Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 22 years of experience supporting individuals, couples, and families through life’s most challenging moments. My approach to therapy is grounded, compassionate, and collaborative. I believe therapy should be a safe space where clients feel heard, respected, and understood—without judgment.

I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), while also drawing from solution-focused and strengths-based approaches. I work with clients to identify unhelpful patterns, build healthier coping strategies, and develop practical tools they can use in everyday life. My style is supportive yet direct, helping clients gain clarity, insight, and confidence as they move toward meaningful change.

Clients often describe me as warm, genuine, and easy to talk to. I value building strong therapeutic relationships and meeting clients where they are emotionally. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, or feeling overwhelmed, my goal is to help you feel empowered, balanced, and more in control of your life.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, supportive, and practical. I believe therapy works best when clients feel safe, heard, and respected. I work alongside clients to better understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, while helping them identify patterns that may be keeping them stuck.

I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), focusing on building awareness, developing healthy coping strategies, and creating meaningful change. Sessions are structured yet flexible, allowing space for clients to process emotions while also gaining tools they can use in daily life. I am compassionate but direct, offering honest feedback in a supportive way.

My goal is to empower clients to gain insight, strengthen emotional regulation, and move forward with greater confidence and balance.

What you can expect from me

The first session is a time for us to get to know each other and begin building a safe, comfortable therapeutic relationship. Clients can expect a supportive, non-judgmental space where they are free to talk openly about what brought them to therapy and what they hope to gain from the process.

We’ll review background information, discuss current concerns, and explore goals for therapy at a pace that feels comfortable. There is no pressure to share everything at once. I focus on helping clients feel heard, understood, and respected from the very beginning.

By the end of the first session, clients can expect greater clarity about their concerns, an initial plan for treatment, and a sense of whether my approach feels like a good fit. My goal is for clients to leave feeling supported, validated, and hopeful about the work ahead.
