Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (PC015130) in Pennsylvania, bringing 18 years of experience in assisting clients with addiction recovery, motivation, self-esteem, confidence, and navigating life transitions. I view life from a spiritual perspective, believing that we are all on a unique journey and are the experts of our own narratives. My goal is to help you recognize the strengths you possess that can aid in overcoming your challenges. It's very brave to pursue a deep commitment to the 'self', and I am here to provide support and empower you as you take that leap toward consistent change.

Now offering EMDR Therapy!

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing — is a structured, evidence-based psychotherapy approach designed to help individuals process distressing experiences, trauma-related symptoms, anxiety, and other concerns that may feel “stuck” in the nervous system.

EMDR supports the brain’s natural ability to reprocess difficult memories and experiences so they may feel less overwhelming and less disruptive in daily life.

Barry Krevokuch, LPC, has completed EMDR Basic Training, including 20 hours of lecture, 20 hours of practicum, and 10 hours of consultation, through an EMDRIA-approved training program. Training was completed through The Institute for Creative Mindfulness, an EMDRIA-Approved Credit Provider.

My approach to therapy

In my practice, I embrace an eclectic approach to therapy, which allows us to explore a wide range of methodologies tailored to your specific needs. Our sessions may include established evidence-based practices, as well as supportive psychotherapy strategies to provide a strong foundation for our work together. Additionally, I may integrate, with informed consent, creative techniques and spiritual elements of self-exploration to foster a deeper understanding of yourself and facilitate personal growth. My goal is to create a therapeutic experience that is uniquely suited to you, promoting healing and resilience in a way that resonates with your individual journey.

What you can expect from me

During our first session together, my primary focus will be on creating a safe and welcoming space for you to share your story. I understand that taking this step can be both exciting and daunting, and I want you to feel comfortable from the moment we connect. We will begin by getting to know each other a bit better. I’ll invite you to share what brought you to therapy and what you hope to achieve through our work together. This conversation will be guided by open-ended questions, allowing you to express your thoughts and feelings at your own pace. Throughout the session, I will actively listen, ensuring that you feel heard and understood. My approach is rooted in empathy and respect, and I encourage you to speak freely, knowing that this is a non-judgmental environment where your experiences and emotions are valued. As we explore your background and current challenges, I will also begin to identify your strengths and the goals you would like to pursue. Together, we will lay the groundwork for our therapeutic journey, establishing a partnership built on trust and collaboration. By the end of our first session, I hope that you feel a sense of relief and optimism, knowing that you have taken a significant step toward healing and personal growth.
