Great to meet you!

I completed my undergraduate coursework in psychology at Tyler Junior College (2015) and The University of Texas at Tyler (2018). After completing my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from UT Tyler in 2021, I began working at an outpatient group practice focused on treating people with eating disorders and general mental health struggles. This has been my clinical focus for the last 3 years, but my education and passion for treating these issues pre-dates the start of my career.

A bit about my approach to therapy

While I like to use skills from multiple modalities (ACT, CBT, DBT), I am primarily a relational and client-centered counselor. What this means for you is that I will work with what you bring to the room. I believe you are the expert in your own life, and my job is to walk alongside you. I use both directive and non-directive approaches to therapy, depending on what the client needs.

What you can expect from our first session

Clients can expect to feel safe and empowered to be who they are. Whether meeting virtually or in person, it is my priority to create a safe space for growth. Since authenticity is what I want from my clients, I also strive to be my most authentic self in the counseling room. This means that I sometimes let my goofiness show and attempt to bring occasional light-heartedness to session.
