Great to meet you!

I received my B.A. in Psychology at Macaulay Honors College, CUNY, and my M.Ed. and M.A. in Mental Health Counseling at Teachers College, Columbia University.

After graduating, I have been working as a therapist since 2021 with a specialty in the LGBTQ+ community. I have worked with depressive, anxiety (generalized, OCD), ADHD, mood, personality disorders and disordered eating. Experience includes working with issues of self esteem, stress, relationships, parenting, gender, identity, race/ethnicity, immigration, grief, trauma, substances, habits, motivation, focus and attention.

My interests and clinical focuses include self-care, minority body image, Latinx mental health, psychosis in youth, and am passionate about self-acceptance/love. I created and use the motto "Write your own narrative" in my annual bootcamp as a reminder that we each have our own story and control over it.

My approach to therapy

I approach therapy through a feminist, trauma-informed, harm reduction and multiculturally competent lens. I draw from narrative therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, gestalt and person-centered theoretical frameworks.

What you can expect from me

I see each client as their own whole individual with strengths. I aim to help clients establish goals and will work collaboratively to help you gain clarity and confidence. I provide compassion, warmth and a non-judgmental environment to achieve goals and self-healing. I individualize treatment to the unique needs of each client. I show up in sessions with radical kindness. I understand building a strong, honest relationship and rapport is key to the work. I will help you explore yourself and your story, while providing tools to assist along your journey. As an affirming, inclusive therapist, I provide empathy with attention to the intersections of identities within every person.
