Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and earned my doctorate from the Wisconsin School of Professional Psychology. I have had 10 years of experience in private practice working with adults. I specialize in supporting individuals healing from narcissistic abuse and unhealthy relationship dynamics. With additional training as a Narcissistic Abuse Treatment Clinician, I help clients navigate the emotional impact of difficult relationships, rebuild self-trust, establish healthy boundaries, and reconnect with their sense of self.

I also work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, grief and loss, family challenges, life transitions, low self-esteem, and difficulties with emotional regulation. I believe everyone deserves a space where they feel heard, understood, and supported without judgment. My goal is to help you recognize your strengths, develop greater self-awareness, and create meaningful changes that support a healthier, more fulfilling life.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, empathetic, and collaborative. I believe healing begins with feeling safe enough to explore your experiences, understand your emotions, and recognize patterns that may be affecting your relationships and overall well-being. I tailor therapy to your individual needs, strengths, and goals, meeting you where you are in your journey.

A particular focus of my work is helping individuals heal from narcissistic abuse and unhealthy relationship dynamics. These experiences can leave you questioning yourself, struggling with boundaries, or feeling disconnected from who you are. Together, we can work toward rebuilding self-trust, strengthening self-esteem, recognizing unhealthy patterns, and developing healthier ways of relating to yourself and others.

I integrate cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, relaxation techniques, and Somatic Experiencing into my work. These approaches can help you better understand the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and physical responses while developing practical tools to manage stress and navigate difficult emotions. Whether you are healing from a painful relationship, managing anxiety or depression, processing grief, or navigating a life transition, my goal is to help you feel more grounded, empowered, and connected to yourself. Therapy is a collaborative process, and we will move at a pace that feels supportive and appropriate for you.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to begin getting to know one another and for you to share what has brought you to therapy. I strive to create a warm, welcoming, and nonjudgmental environment where you can feel comfortable being yourself. You do not need to have everything figured out or know exactly where to begin. We will take things one step at a time.

During our first session, we will explore the concerns you would like to address, what you have been experiencing, and what you hope to gain from therapy. If you are healing from narcissistic abuse or a difficult relationship, we can begin exploring how those experiences have affected your confidence, boundaries, emotional well-being, and sense of self. There is no pressure to share more than you feel ready to share.

Together, we will begin identifying your priorities and discussing goals that feel meaningful to you. My hope is that you leave our first session feeling heard, understood, and hopeful about the possibilities for change. Therapy is your space, and we will work collaboratively to help you build insight, develop effective coping strategies, strengthen your sense of self, and move toward a healthier, more fulfilling life at a pace that feels right for you.
