Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with 11 years of experience providing therapy and support to individuals navigating life’s challenges. I earned my master’s degree in social work from Salem State University. Over the course of my career, I have worked with a diverse range of individuals managing bipolar disorder, ADHD, major depressive disorder, mood disorders, anxiety, OCD, borderline personality disorder, complex trauma, codependency, and anger. I view every client’s story as a unique puzzle. To me, every piece—your family, genetics, and life experiences—helps complete the picture of who you are so we can discover the root issues together and find the most useful, applicable solutions.

My approach to therapy

I believe that therapy works best when it feels like a real, genuine conversation rather than a stiff clinical interview. My style is casual, interactive, and go-with-the-flow. I bring a distinct sense of humor, a bit of colorful language, and an honest, transparent approach to our sessions—if you want to know what I think, you will never have to guess. I appreciate feedback in turn so I can know how to best support you. My goal is to teach you how to think, not what to think, and I will support whatever choice you make as long as it has been carefully considered. I blend creative problem-solving with an eclectic mix of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), strengths-based approaches, and positive psychology to help you navigate emotional regulation and daily hurdles. I heavily emphasize providing psychoeducation on symptoms, solutions, and why certain interventions work, often backing up my suggestions with a clear reason or the science so you truly understand your diagnosis and have absolute clarity about what you are experiencing.

What you can expect from me

I always start with an introductory session that flows naturally like a collaborative brainstorming meeting. While I always have an idea of where we are going, our time together is highly adaptable to what feels right in the moment. I strive to create a warm, welcoming, and secure environment where you can feel comfortable sharing and being vulnerable without judgment. In this first session, we will focus on building safety, digging into the initial pieces of your story, and questioning information together so you can make the most logical choices for your life. You do not need to have everything figured out before we meet; we will partner up right from day one to turn your goals into a realistic roadmap for the sessions to follow.
