Great to meet you!

Hello! I love therapy and I’m so glad you’re here. Since completing my masters in social work from New York University in 2022 I have 4+ I’ve built diverse experience as an individual and family therapist having worked in community agencies, hospitals and private practice. I find great purpose working with those who have experienced trauma including physical or sexual abuse or assault, childhood neglect or traumatic invalidation. I’m a queer woman and also find pride and joy in working with LGBTQIA+ individuals.

My approach to therapy

I approach my work with clients as true person-to-person interactions. I value irreverence and building comfort and connection with those I work with. I have an eclectic approach and particularly enjoy working with tools, strategies and values set within Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I also utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Psychodynamic Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and Narrative Therapy. Regardless of the modality I work to elicit one’s strengths and individuality.

What you can expect from me

In our first session I want to learn what brings you to therapy. What do you want to change in your life, what are you unsatisfied (and satisfied!) with? I’ll also need information on your past, where did you grow up, what was your childhood like, how was school, how’s work, and so on and so forth. I love intakes because I love getting to know new people. As much as I need to know what you are looking for support with I also want to know what you love to do, what you care about and what makes you, you.
