Hello and a warm welcome. My name is Belinda Amatekpor (LPC).
I have over 21 years’ experience in clinical practice; with certifications as an Adoption’s Counselor and in School Counseling. I am an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS), a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) and a Certified Divorce Mediator.
I am passionate about assisting clients with treating trauma, managing symptoms (anxiety and depression), modifying behavior, and making healthy life choices.
My experiences lend to working with families including children, adolescents, individuals, and couples.
Clinically, I incorporate trauma-focused, cognitive behavioral, client-centered, goal-oriented, culturally sensitive, and psycho-educational modalities.
My approach to therapy include interactive, goal-oriented, brief, client-centered, and solution-focused approaches.
I integrate my experiences with compassion and genuineness in assisting clients work toward an authentic healthy, life and well-being.
I provide a supportive, non-judgmental space to help unpack challenges and explore coping strategies for improved mental health and wellbeing.
