Great to meet you!

Having been in therapy myself, I understand the counseling process from the client’s point-of-view. It is for this reason, that I attempt to make each client feel comfortable and safe. As a wife, mother, and grandmother, I have a rich history of life experience to bring to the table. I have worked with trauma often, finding it to be woven into many of my client’s stories. Once an individual’s past has been sorted out, reasons for present issues become more clear, and can be dealt with.

My approach to therapy

Being a therapist is my calling, and has been my heart’s desire since I was in high school. I have a gentle approach in the therapy room. Once rapport is built, I will be more direct in my findings, while still respecting the client’s feelings and core beliefs. I feel that the client’s welfare is paramount in the healing process.

What you can expect from me

I believe that clients should take away from therapy the tools needed to succeed outside of the therapy room. After a few sessions, clients should feel empowered to implement new skills and suggestions that are geared to their specific situation. I like to partner with clients in coming up with solutions to their life situations, believing that the clients know their problems better than anyone else!
