Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Belinda Abena Twumasi, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of experience in mental health, trauma-focused care, and personal and professional wellness. I created With You In Mind Therapy Services to offer the kind of space I’ve always believed in, one that’s compassionate, culturally grounded, and deeply personal. I hold a Clinical License in PA with an extensive background in mental health and trauma. I hold a Master's degree in Social Work, a Bachelor's degree in Human Services, and an Associate's degree in Psychology.

My academic and professional training, together with my faith and lived experiences, has shaped my clinical expertise and deepened my understanding of the human experience- including people’s pain, resilience, and capacity for healing and growth. I support clients with a wide range of experiences and challenges. Whether you're struggling with depression, anxiety, or emotional distress, or possibly experiencing psychological burnout due to personal and professional stressors, or maybe experiencing internal conflict due to low self-esteem and doubt, or just navigating relational dynamics and trying to create healthy boundaries, I'm here to help you.

You deserve more than simply surviving each day; you deserve healing, peace, and the freedom to live a life grounded in purpose, wholeness, and hope. This isn’t just about therapy; it’s about restoration, renewal, and reclaiming your life with someone who truly sees you.

My approach to therapy

I view therapy as a partnership, where we explore what’s weighing on you and work together to build clarity, insight, and momentum toward the life you want. My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and deeply respectful of your lived experience. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. Instead, I create a space where you can slow down, breathe, and be fully seen and heard, without judgment.

I integrate psychodynamic, narrative, cognitive-behavioral, person-centered, solution-focused, mindfulness, and trauma-informed approaches to help clients process challenging and traumatic experiences. When desired, I also incorporate faith-based principles that honor each client’s spiritual beliefs, values, and relationship with God as meaningful sources of healing, strength, and growth.

What you can expect from me

Clients often tell me that our work together feels grounding, affirming, and clarifying. In session, you can expect a calm, compassionate space where you’re encouraged to show up as your full self, whether that means unraveling complex emotions, confronting painful experiences, or celebrating growth, big or small.

Our sessions are centered around your goals, your pace, and your voice. Together, we’ll explore patterns, shift perspectives, and work through what’s holding you back, all while building tools for emotional resilience, psychological safety, increased self-esteem, healthy boundaries, and relationships. You’ll leave with more than insight; you’ll leave with strategies, renewed purpose, a deeper connection, and an optimistic outlook.

Above all, my aim is for you to feel supported, empowered, and safe in the process of healing and becoming.
