Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a psychodynamic and relational approach to therapy. I work with adults who feel stuck in patterns of anxiety, relationship difficulties, low self-worth, or emotional overwhelm—even when, on the outside, they seem to be “doing fine.” Many of my patients are thoughtful, insightful people who struggle with self-criticism, people-pleasing, or feeling disconnected from their authentic needs.

My background includes extensive training in psychodynamic therapy, attachment-based work, and trauma-informed care. I’m particularly interested in how early relationships, family dynamics, and unspoken emotional experiences continue to shape our present-day reactions, relationships, and sense of self.

My approach to therapy

My approach is primarily psychodynamic and relational, meaning we explore not just what you’re struggling with, but why certain patterns keep repeating and how they developed. Together, we look at how past experiences—especially early relationships—may still be influencing how you relate to yourself and others today.

I pay close attention to emotions, relational patterns, defenses, and what emerges between us in the therapeutic relationship. This helps create insight that isn’t just intellectual, but emotionally meaningful and lasting. I also integrate attachment-based, trauma-informed, and mindfulness-informed interventions when helpful.

While insight is important, therapy with me is not passive. We work toward greater emotional awareness, healthier boundaries, and more freedom in how you respond to yourself and others. The goal is not to “fix” you, but to help you understand yourself more deeply so change can happen organically and sustainably.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, you can expect a calm, supportive, and non-judgmental space where we begin getting to know each other. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what feels most pressing right now, and what you’re hoping might change. There’s no pressure to share everything at once—this is the start of a relationship that unfolds over time.

I’ll ask thoughtful questions to understand your emotional world, history, and current challenges, while also making space for how you’re feeling in the moment. We’ll begin to identify initial themes and goals, and I’ll share how therapy might look moving forward based on your needs.
